By my mom’s request, here’s the much delayed Day 3 Letter to my Parents 

Dear Mom, 

I wish you had more kids so I didn’t have to play alone. Regardless, thank you for being a great mom and doing your best to raise me. Please come home with lots of goodies. 

Dear Dad, 

You run a great business. Thank you for supporting me in the only way you could. I wish you helped coach my track team in high school, I would’ve taken it more seriously. But, you weren’t around. Thanks for telling Reiko that I couldn’t last one minute working at your company. Couldn’t be prouder of a father like yourself. Don’t let my sister turn rotten, she’s already halfway there. 

Dear Rajah, 

Thank you for traveling to see me graduate from Maryland. I really felt like I graduated because you came to see it. Sorry I do all sorts of things… to your poor car. I promise I’ll make up for it eventually. 

Dear psycho bitch, 

You belong in North Korea. It wasn’t nice knowing you. Too bad I have to see your face in order to see little Lani who’s not so little anymore.
